Baxter Black Former large animal veterinarian and irregular commentator on National Public Radio, is America's best-selling cowboy poet. He is a frequent performer at national stock shows and rodeos as well as in many smaller local events. He is author of several books, including Cactus Tracks, Croutons on a Cow Pie, Hey, Cowboy, Wanna Get Lucky? and Dunny and the Duck.  Cow Attack is Baxter Black's brand new book. He's rounded up a whole new herd of poems.


"The Woman who E-mails to Horses" As opposed to "The Man who Listens to Horses".   A humorous short essay by an unkown author. 


"Branded" Horse Kicking Video Clip  If you ever wondered how fast a horse can get at you and what their range of motion is, check this out.  We received this video clip from one of the people on the mailing list, it appears that it came from Fox television.  Caution:  You may have to watch this more than once, It's hard to believe that this person really did this!  This video clip requires the Microsoft Windows Media Player.

"A horse in the house"  A real life story about a woman whose horse lives in her house with her. From National Public Radio (NPR).  We thought we had heard just about everything until we heard this.  This clip is about 12 minutes long and takes a long time to download if you have slow Internet service.  But it's very humorous and worth the time.  This audio clip requires the Real Networks Real Audio Player.

"Mare-A-Wear"TM The innovative new product from Amy Coffman.   For those out there who have a problem communicating with their horse effectively, all you have to do is slap the "Mare-A-Wear"TM training system on and start "whispering to your horse".  Guaranteed to put you at the top of the pecking order in your herd.  This is a definite shortcut for the "whispering impaired" trainer.

"Clucker Training Your Horse"  As opposed to Clicker Training..   A humorous short essay about incorporating poultry into your training program by an unkown author.
