FAQ

Here is a list of the most commonly asked questions I get in emails. If you can't find an answer here then feel free to email me.

Q. Why are your prices so much lower than the big name trainers?

A. This is the #1 question I get asked. The answer is simple. I do all my own work and every piece is made as the orders come in. This allows me to keep rope in stock and on the spool until it's needed which ultimately reduces inventory costs that I don't have to pass on to my customers.

Q. Why nylon rope instead of polyester?

A. We have found that nylon braided on nylon has more "life" to it and will not burn your hands the way polysester rope will. It's weighty for it's size and wears like iron. Polyester has the one advantage over nylon in that it does not soak up water the way nylon will so may be preferred if you live in a wet climate or go trail riding through rivers and streams. We still prefer the nylon in spite of this detail.

Q. Do you have a toll free number in which I can call and place my order?

A. No. Because I am a one person operation, I can't find the time to answer calls all day and make product too. Also, I have elected to hire PayPal to run credit information where it's encrypted....I never see your credit information and keep none of it on file so all orders are secure. Orders must be placed either over the site or via snail mail if you choose to pay with a cashier's check or money order. If you have a pressing issue that you need to tallk to me over the phone about, email me your number and I will either call you or give you my phone number to call me if you prefer.

Q. Do you give discounts to trainers, clinicians or on multiple buys of the same item?

A. No. I feel my prices are more than fair to not have to offer this. I'm not considered a wholesale business...I'm a retail business and that is what my license allows.

Q. Do you give discounts on shipping rates?

A. The shipping rates are on a scale and usually just cover the costs of shipping most orders as most people order more than one item at a time. My rates include packing supplies and trips to the post office that I make daily. There are always exceptions to the rule though so, if the shipping cost is holding you back from making a small item purchase, email me and ask if I can do it for less. A single regular halter meets the under 13oz. rule for first class mailing and can be sent for less if you don't mind the extra few days it may take to arrive.

Q. Is there an extra charge for custom work?

A. Not on the halters but, if you want a different length of lead rope, longe line or progress string, you'll be charged either more for extra rope used or less if you want a shorter one. I welcome requests for custom orders because I know that people have their own needs and ideas of what they want their equipment to be.

Q. If I'm a returning customer, do you still have my billing information on file?

A. No. I do not have any credit card information on file since I am now using PayPal for payments and none of that information came when I purchased the business. If you're a returning customer, you will have to go through the checkout process each time you order. I apologize for the inconvenience but it keeps your information safer and allows me to keep my prices lower by not having to pay for extra encryption services with my web host.

Q. Do you have a store where I can come and look at the product and make a direct purchase?

A. No. I'm strictly an Internet sales business as I work out of my home and am not in a commercially zoned area for that sort of transaction.

Q. Do you make exceptions for International shipping?

A. Yes. The reason I do not have shipping set up for International purchases (except to Canada and Mexico) is because I can't guess what shipping will be and can usually find much lower rates for customers if they just email me and ask.
